This project was the exploration of a new materials philosophy, asking how we as designers may systemize our approach to sustainable material innovation and development. Recycling often happens at the end of a product's life cycle, but here I wanted to see how discarded raw materials could undergo refinement to emerge as usable materials with aesthetic distinction. No more plants pretending to be leather. How does the designer make a statement with sustainable materials?
